When past clients return to us for additional new projects, we are truly honored to have gained their trust and an opportunity to exceed their expectations once again. For this Tampa family and now returning client, our Ramos Design Build team had the pleasure of designing and successfully completing a kitchen renovation as their first project scope. For this second, new project, we have been hired for three components of the home: to renovate a downstairs full bathroom, their owner’s ensuite bathroom, and the laundry room.
To compliment the modern Mediterranean style of this home, the clients wanted to create a 'wow' factor in the redesign of their downstairs bathroom. In order to achieve an eye-catching yet sophisticated look, one component of the new renovation design features graphic tile on the floor, extending into the shower from floor to ceiling on the main wall, creating a beautiful, artistic, focal point. Clay Zellige tiles complete the chic, modern look, keeping with the style of the home.
For the renovation design of the owner’s ensuite bathroom, additional vanity space and maintaining the modern Mediterranean style of the home, were the focal points of the project scope. To create the additional vanity space, we removed an old linen closet allowing enough space to incorporate the dual sinks and seating.
For an elevated, spa-like feel, soft graphic marble tile was used on the floor, completing the classic look. Opposite the new vanity and dual sinks, is a glass-enclosed shower and a stunning, free-standing soaking tub.
To define this portion of the space as its own moment, gorgeous Turquoise 'kitkat' (1’x6’) tiles were selected adding a ‘pop’ of color. To complete the look, we created a turquoise tile band that extends from the floor to the window around the tub and shower areas. The overall finished look is a fresh take on the Mediterranean style of the home.
The laundry room is no exception to the continuation of the modern Mediterranean design tied into each room of the home. Our design team intentionally chose Mediterranean inspired graphic tiles for the floor as a beautiful statement for the space. At the request of the clients, we replaced the cabinets in place with gorgeous wood floating shelves, creating a clean, warm, and open aesthetic, yet preserving storage functionality. For convenience and full use of the space, a built-in ironing board hidden behind the wainscoting molding was also incorporated.
